– Mariela Castro, an LGBT activist in Cuba and daughter of President Raul Castro, spoke in the US recently.

– Colin Powell is a supporter of marriage equality, apparently.

– The US Air Force Academy graduated its first openly gay cadets this week.

– The Washington Blade has the transcript from yesterday’s LGBT call with the Obama campaign.

Maine Education Association announces support for Marriage Equality ( 25,000 members). This is huge because three years ago they would not get involved for fear that the old canards of "gay sex taught in schools" would stick to it. Times have changed and we can all thank Obama for freeing the many individuals and organizations who have wanted to come on board.
