– What will the Republican Party do after the Supreme Court issues the Prop 8 and DOMA decisions?

– Governor Quinn of Illinois has called for a special session of the General Assembly in June; it’s possible but uncertain marriage equality could be on the agenda.

– The Delaware senate has approved a transgender rights bill.

– The Washington Blade looks at New Jersey Governor Christie’s interim appointment to fill Senator Frank Lautenberg’s seat and the appointee’s LGBT stances.

– The Supreme Court will issue opinions on Monday and Thursday of next week. No one knows ahead of time what will be released, but EqualityOnTrial is following the situation in case the marriage cases come out. The more likely release of the opinions in those cases is the last week of June, though.

    Most experts now predict section 3 of DOMA will be done but prop 8 will be affirmed. Back to the ballot box CA.
